"So we have a fight on our hands to push forward the course of liberty. It is never been any different. So let's get on with it and make sure we mix it up with as much foot-stamping rock music as possible. Onward and upward!"

Dan on EPP row…

As per normal Dan Hannan neatly sums up the reason why the Conservatives in Europe have no business in the EPP while at the same time exposing the spin against leaving. The good thing, of course, is more and more people are listening to Dan’s position and coming on board. Its times for Cameron & Hague to show some spine and deliver on their promise.

A personal boycott

During the World Cup I am personally boycotting any establishment that has the football on; especially if they did not have a television in the establishment before now. To wit I will not be going to the Willow Walk nr Victoria nor Caramel. Both of these establishments now have large TVs blaring out the World Cup matches. It ruins my enjoyment of the establishment so I shan’t be going in there.

Why do I tell you this? Because this is a clear example of what non-smokers should be doing instead of imposing their fascists attitudes on the rest of us (same with anti-hunting idiots). If you don’t like something, boycott it, don’t wimp out and use the cudgel of the state to ruin it for everyone else. I would include people who want to ban the burning of the American flag in this as well/

I hope those of you who find wall-to-wall World Cup an annoyance and an affront will join me in boycotting places that have no taken your feelings into account. If you really are annoyed write the company a letter as I have to Whetherspoon but don’t go to your local MP and whinge.
