"So we have a fight on our hands to push forward the course of liberty. It is never been any different. So let's get on with it and make sure we mix it up with as much foot-stamping rock music as possible. Onward and upward!"

Kennedy’s laments?

Charles Kennedy is under pressure again; now the rumblings are getting louder (11 Shadow Cabinet members have signed a letter). I wonder if the Lib-Dems will enjoy Growing Old Disgracefully’s Whisky & Westminster.

It is not specifically about Charles but if the shoe fits…

Breaking News: He has called a leadership contest; which he will participate in. Guess he is hoping to get the sympathy vote after his AA style “confession".

Oh yeah, one more thing, type “drunken failure” into Google and hit Search.

Green on DC

Excellent piece by David Green on the patrician nature of Cameron’s leadership. It is disappointing to see Cameron continue his party’s tradition of ignoring think-tanks and blindly following the age old Tory patronising line.

Arthur Seldon railed against this sort of thinking all his life. Maybe someone should buy Cameron the complete set Seldon’s writings. It seems he needs to be re-educated about the disasterous effects of Tory policies before Lady T came along.

NB: I am reading the complete set for review and have made it through 1.5 volumes of the set so far.
